Description: Here is my entry for the Blue Crew June 1st challenge. The challenge was to scrap something that brings up a strong emotion, whether happy or sad. These photos make me very sad and angry. I had my car stolen when I was a senior in college and this is how I got it back. The journaling states: Have you ever been someplace where you had a nagging feeling that you should go outside and check your car? That was how I felt the night my car was stolen. It was March, 1992. My friend Beth and I were seeing a movie at the East Hartford Showcase Cinemas. I do not remember what the movie was but I do know that we were not enjoying it. We both wanted to leave the theatre but neither of us said anything to the other. I even remember going out after buying tickets to make sure I had locked my car. I wish we had left early because by the time the movie ended, my car was gone. The officer that came to the scene said that if it didn’t turn up that night, it would probably be found in pieces. Sure enough, that was exactly how it turned up on Zion Street in Hartford two days later. The thieves had stripped my car to the bone. They had jimmied my lock open with a screwdriver and used that same screwdriver as a key to drive it away. I felt so violated and angry! I also lost a brand new CD radio that I had gotten for my birthday the month before. However, the worse thing was that I commuted to college and I had to use my mother’s station wagon for the rest of my semester. It was a very eye opening experience all around. I do not wish having something stolen on anyone. Thanks for looking! Nora
