Description: I did this awhile ago but never posted it. Occasionally I write down the random things that my dd and I talk about. I don't want to do separate LO's for them all so I combined a few on this one. These were from 2004. I made the pockets by tri-folding a piece of 12x8 pp and cutting curves in each one to hold the little journal cards. Thanks for looking!
Journaling states:
You amaze me every day with the things you come up with. Sometimes you grasp things that I never knew you understood. Other times you stun me because I have no idea where you get your facts. These are just some of the conversations I have with you on a daily basis.
(Fall 2003) On the way home from a doctor’s appointment I took you to Michael’s in Newington that had a Petco next door. Here is the conversation we had!
You: Mom, that’s a pet store.
Me: You’re right Charlotte.
You: That is where you get a
brother or a sister.
Me: No you don’t honey. You
can’t go to a store to get a
brother or a sister.
You: Well, you can buy a dog or a
fish there.
Me: Yes, you can
You: Can we get a dog?
Me: Not today (or in this
Lifetime mumbled under my
breath)
You: Can we get a fish?
Me: Someday
You: Okay
(January 22, 2004) Sometimes you really amaze me on how you connect the dots to things. Today, for example, I was joking with you. When you make up stories, I tell you that you are “full of beans” and that they are “coming out your ears.” When I told you that today, you replied with indignance; “Mom, those aren’t beans—that’s ear wax!” I had to really try hard not to laugh out loud or you would be so upset!
(January 25, 2005) You were going to Grandma and Grandpa Noll’s tonight to sleep. All morning from 8 am on, you “packed” your won suitcase full of “important” things. You put in stuffed animals, toy cars, books, pictures for Grandma and Grandpa to put on their fridge and two play cell phones. When I asked why you packed both the phones, you emphatically replied; “One is for Grandma!”
Later that day, I dropped you off at Grandma’s. The phone rang while I was there and you looked at me and said, “Are you leaving yet?” You wanted me to go so you could have Grandma all to yourself!!!

The idea for this page is wonderful.I love the pocket and the way you did the title. Your girl is cute too. She will be happy to remember your conversation when she is older.
