This one looks like it was done with markers and a blending pen. You can also use watercolor pencils and a water brush. Alot of folks really like the copic markers but I have never tried them before. Good Luck!!

Saw this topic and wanted to share a little with you. I have been fascinated by the coloring of stamps and have tried a little myself. (Just learning and practicing). I have been inspired by:http://www.scrapjazz.com/gallery/cache/39952/0 90823090909GlendaKernanBi rthdayB0908_1.jpg She has some fantastic coloring on her cards. I absolutely love them. Check out her gallery. She tells you what techniques she uses.
Also, if you go to YouTube just go to the search engine and type in "stamp coloring techniques" and it will come up with so many methods and videos it will make your head spin.
So far I have only tried the colored pencil technique (using baby oil) and have a long way to go to make them look really good.
Good luck and have fun!

You might want to try instead of baby oil odorless mineral spirits.. You outline the area you want to color and fill it in lightly.. then using a stump which you can by at Michaels or Hobby Lobby you did the stump into the odorless mineral spirits and blend using a circular motion into your area.. Then once done do some more blending with a darker color towards the edge of your area. Alot of people us the product "Gamsol" but this is just the manufacturer of an odorless mineral spirit.. I get mine at Hobby Lobby..

Looks like someone already shared this technique with you but I would suggest that you go to YouTube and check out the videos. That's how I learned. I use the baby oil because I'm more comfortable with it instead of using mineral spirits. (Less chemicals). I have never tried the mineral spirits so maybe that works better. You do need to buy Prisma or other quality colored pencils. I will see if I can post a link for you but I'm pretty computer challenged.
Would love to see your results! Diane

I have never tried the mineral spirits. Do you have to be careful about the odors? I would like to try it but have been concerned about it since it is a chemical.
