My cousin asked me to take pics of her and her fiance for their engagement photos. I am by no means a pro photographer, but do love photography. I don't mind taking the pics for them as they do know they won't be professional looking. But I still want to take some awesome shots for them.
We will probably be taking the pics at a park. Can anyone tell me where I can look to get some ideas of shots to take? I am hoping to do them soon as the trees look awesome around here right now witht he colors and falling leaves. Hopefully they can find some time soon.

does the park have any ponds?
fountains?
water features always make photos look great.
bridges over small ponds give you a lot of choices - close (photog on bridge with couple) or far (photog below on bank looking up / across at couple)
paths are a great place for shots of the back of the couple as they walk away down the path. consider using a lot of foreground on those shots - ie, lots of the path, with the couple moving away.
best suggestion when using a park, try to get shots without other folks... even if that means you have to change YOUR perspective.
Have fun!

Great advice Beth! Thanks so much!
The park does have a pond, bridge and lots of path, so I am assuming we have lots of possibilities.
I need to try to do a search so I can see some ideas. I am so much better in looking at the actual thing I need to do rather than try to figure it out.

Good idea. I googled outdoor engagement pictures then went to images and got a lot of good ideas. I just hope I can take good shots for them.

Make sure to stay out of direct sunlight...stay in open shade. You don't want crazy shadows or them squinting!
